Stefan Fuele: Accession Talks to Start in June

Stefan Fuele, EU Enlargement Commissioner, said that the accession talks with Montenegro would start in June.

Mr. Fuele said that the enlargement could help European countries carry out changes and reforms, and transform their societies, which would lead to better standard of living.

“The European Union is not just a static body. It keeps growing and its standards and values make the EU an inspiration source.” – Mr. Fuele stressed in his speech on May 9.

According to Mr. Fuele, the enlargement is certain, since Serbia has become a candidate, Croatia is expected to join the EU soon, and Montenegro will start its accession talks in June.
